Here is a quick demonstation on how to make your own quick pages. I use Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro, but you should be able to follow this in any program that uses layers.

This is what it will look like when I'm finished!

All quick pages are scrapbook pages, except the background is erased where the pictures go. So to start off, just make a page like you normally would. What you need to remember not to do, is merge or flatten anything until your finished with your layout.

1. I started with a background paper.

2. Then I put a strip of paper down the middle. (I did use a dropshadow on the strip of paper.)

3. Then I added a frame mat.

4. Then I added a frame over top of the mat. (I did put a drop shadow on it)

5. Next I added a frame wrap.

6. Then the dangling heart charm. (I used a drop shadow)

7. I put the butterfly on top of the dangling heart charm. (I used a drop shadow)

8. Then I added the words 'I love you'.

Now, I will turn my scrapbook page into a quick page.

9. Leaving all layers unmerged, I click on the second layer. (The strip going down the middle) I use my eraser tool and erase all of the strip that is visible under the frame.

10. Then I click on the first layer (the background paper) and use my eraser to erase everything visible under the frame.

11. Then I merge all the layers. (*Do NOT flatten it! When you flatten something it takes away the transparency.)

This will give you your quick page. Remember that you need to save quick pages as .png files, .png will leave the cutout transparent.

I put a drop shadow on the finished quick page, so you can see it. You should not put a drop shadow on the finished quick page if you are planning on letting other people use it. This way if they don't like a drop shadow, fine. If they want one, they can add their own.
